The cherished piece of wasteground used by the children of Barton Football Club is turned into a car-park by the unscrupulous Mr. Bates - the father of the captain of their chief rivals and their manager. Despite a trek all across Manchester, the Barton team are unsuccessful in their search for another ground. Having reached the finals of the Manchester Junior League Cup, they have to find somewhere to train. One day with a help of an acquainted policeman, their story reaches the ears of Matt Busby, who meets them and invites to come along to Old Trafford for a training session. Will training with famous Manchester United Football team help them to win the cup?
